Edgars Bad Service costs me R4000

On the 12th Feb I received multiple sms's from Nedbank informing me of R1000 debits going of my account for purchases at Edgars Bellville. I was at home and my cards were with me. I acted as quickly as I could (blocked my bank cards) and contacted the branch who confirmed that the ******** had just made purchases of 4 gift cards and has left the store. Jenny informed me that the branch lights and computers were off and that they can help me the next day. The next day Candace struggled to get feedback from the Gift Card hotline and ***** were unable to help as systems were off etc. By the time we had clarity on what was happening the ********* made purchases on these cards and there were barely any funds left on the various cards. I watched Candace struggle to get any help on the phone and when she got info it was too late. Two things to note here, the ***** support at edgars is shocking and the gift card service is shocking not to mention that if someone had to come into a store a minute before closing and purchases 50 gift cards it should raise suspicion. Had I gotten the gift card numbers on the 12th which was possible, i could have contacted other branches to warn them. Thanks
