Edgars and insurance package (****)

I have an account with Edgar's and whenever I pay it off, I receive calls from their agents saying I'm behind with my payments reason being they compulsory added an insurance on my account without my knowledge and that's wrong cause I cant keep paying for something I didn't ask for. I once called their call centre and requested that it be removed but they told me it cant be cause its a compulsory package. My question is how is it compulsory on an expense that I don't even benefit on it and I don't want it.
