Edgar's account sold off to Nimble Group
Good Day,
I hope you are well. I am seeking some advice with regard to a very unpleasant situation I find myself in between Edgars & the Nimble Group.
I have had an Edgars account for years, Covid hit and I didn't receive statements nor any phone calls from Edgars with regard to my installments, I did make contact but never received any feedback from them.
I then started to receive calls from Nimble Group - they contacted me giving the impression that they are calling from Edgars, I need to make payment. I explained that I don't receive statements. I was notified that I can go in-store and make a payment, which I tried to do, however, Edgars just confirmed that my account was closed and my card is not working.
I called back to Nimble Group and they informed me that my account was sold out by Edgars to the Nimble Group. I never received this notification or communication from Edgars. Now I am making payments to Nimble Group however they don't give detailed statements any of my owing amount is much much more than what it was with Edgars. What am I to do?
The problem is, Nimble & Edgars are reflecting on my credit score, and both are indicating that I am not making payments.
If my account has been sold to Nimble Group (with no notice to myself from Edgars) why are both still reflecting on my credit score the one should be closed then. And only one should be appearing.
Please advise what steps I can take to sort my credit profile out, I want my in-store account with Edgars and not go through Nimble.
Your assistance is appreciated.
Regards Monique Kuhn
