Edcon destroyed my credit score

<p>I am currently applying for a home loan.</p> <p>I have been rejected by 2 banks including my best chanse to get a very acceptable interest rate due to bad credit scoring.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have never had a bad credit score in my life. I investigated this and found out that the Edcon groupe had not been submiting my account payment status for the last 3 months. Accoring to both Standard bank and FNB i still owe an amount of roughly R1600. I payed my acount in full 2 months ago. I have a letter from Edcon declaring my acount is payed in full, but in the words of my assistant at Standardbank "Its to late, the damage is done, please rebuild your credit score over the next 6 months and maybe we can assist."</p> <p> </p> <p>I am speechless </p>
