DISGUSTING service for their clients

I have been a client of Edgars for YEARS, however have not been using my account very actively in a while - just something small here and there. In January I wanted to buy something and was told that my account is in arrears. I was very surprised as I paid R300/ R400 on my account every month via online banking. I showed the assistant on my banking app and she said that my payments are maybe not being allocated to my account. She suggested we phone Accounts, which she did. After a VERY long time, I managed to speak to a lady and requested my statement so I can see my payments reflecting. She asked for my email address (strange that they don't have it on their system as I receive their online marketing via email all the time). I gave her my email address and left, thinking this would be sorted. 2 Weeks later still nothing. I called and was informed that there was no request for my statement. I requested it again and provided my email address again. Still I received nothing. I called numerous times, on numerous occasions and still had no joy. I then decided that until Edgars can come to the party and provide me with the statement I requested, showing the payments I've made - I will no longer make payments. What would be the point of me keeping on paying and Edgars allocating the monies wrongly. Eventually in June I sent an email requesting my statement. I received a response requesting the email address they can send it to (weird - you could just reply to the email address I sent my email from?). I sent the address and received - NOTHING. Again, I rep**** and informed that I haven't received my statement. I received a reply stating that it was sent. Yet I didn't receive it!! After 2 weeks, I tried again. This time I received a statement - but literally showing me my outstanding balance - no payments, no monthly fees - nada. I rep**** and requested that I want a detailed statement reflecting my payments etc so I can confirm that my payments are being allocated. I received a reply stating that this is the only statement they can send me...!!!! What the heck?!?!? Around this time, I started received phone calls and sms messages from attorneys because I was handed over!!!!! All just because I wanted a statement as a client!!!!?!??? I refused to make ANY payment until I received a statement and I stood by it. I emailed again in October, requesting my statement and threatening that I am now going to take legal action against Edcon as this was ridiculous!!!! Again, I received nothing......!!! I decided that this is the WORST service provider, but that I will pay what they say is due - and THEN I'm going to take the fight to them. So I paid R1500 to settle the account (via online banking).

Today I found out that Edcon handed me over and listed me on Experia/ ITC for a Default/ Judgement?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! AND that they say my outstanding balance is R1500?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? Proving my point that they are NOT allocating my payments correctly!!! WHAT A JOKE??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am someone with 3 vehicles (1 paid up), 2 properties (1 paid up) and no other accounts with late payments or ANYTHING negative!!! And now Edcon by it's ****** self stopped me from getting a property bond!!!!!

It is disgusting and I will be taking this legal immediately. Customers need to be protected by this lack of service and victimization. SO quick to list on credit bureau, SO slow to respond to your own clients requests!!!!!
