Discriminatory customer service
I was at the Edgars in Greenacres Mall in Port Elizabeth, on Sunday the 13th of June 2021 a few minutes before their closing time at 14h00. I wanted the Beyonce fragrance and when me and my friend (who is white) walked in, the Coloured lady working in the fragrance department went to her and asked if she could help her, she asked twice. When I went to her to ask about the perfume, she didn't greet back, didn't acknowledge my presence and didn't even look at me, she continued with what she was doing. She then asked what I wanted/needed, after a few seconds of me just standing there waiting to be acknowledged. Her demeanor was rude, not helpful and didn't ask if I needed help like she did with my friend. I felt like she undermined me as a customer and would like her to be called to order. A customer should be treated with respect, whether they're black or white. I'm very unhappy about this incident and people need to realised just how much these things scar you. I didn't wanna think much of it but my friend noticed it too, I cannot turn a blind eye to such.
