I bought ladies high heel sandals at Edgar’s Kolonade in Pretoria, when I tried to return them to the shop for a refund, I was told that the shoes had been worn, therefore I did not qualify for a refund- the only time I wore the shoes was in the store when I was fitting them, the shoes stayed in the same bag that I had received them in from the shop! I swear I never even fitted them at home. My reason for returning them was that I realised that I would not be able to use them on my intended trip as the heel is a bit high for the purpose, I was persuaded into buying them by a friend. My take in the whole fiasco is- I bought shoes that had been returned to the shop and was not even aware of the fact, Edgar’s failed to check the shoes when they were returned previously and I’m paying for the mistake made by whoever received them from the previous buyer or I was sold the shoes intentionally, the problem arose when I wanted to return them! Be aware of such things and although we buy without intention to return them, it does happen sometimes! I’m very disappointed with Edgars, I even called their customer care and was told after a short investigation that they go by what the manager at Kolonade says, which is basically his word against mine! It’s ver embarrassing to be told that you have work a piece of clothing and are now caught out trying to return it to the shop, it is not in my character to do such. It is indeed my word against his and there seems to be nothing I can do about it, except of course share it
