Contact the Creditombud if you have trouble being paid your insurance claim by Edgars

I had a funeral policy with Edgars for 20 odd years. I claimed on it on my husband's death in July. I battled for 5 months, calls not being answered or hung up, emails not being answered. The repayment for the policy was only R3000.00 and over the 20 years I must have paid in R18 000.00. I asked the question of Edgars if the money wasn't being used for a Funeral Policy as they said it was, what was it being used for.

As a last resort I contacted the Credit Ombud. The responded immediately and I was paid the R3000,00 in 2 weeks.
