About a week or two ago I received a text from edgars that they having a 50% off sale so I went in to edgars in cape town green market square I saw a pair of boots for R649 and I bought that and paid half which was about R325 when I got home and inspected the price tag I noticed that the original price of the boots was R500 which means I should have paid R250 it seems like they upped the prices on the day of the sale which doesn't seem right to me? Very dissappointed

As is common practice in a retail market, with rising fuel cost and inflation, Edgar's has had to increase prices of selected merchandise. This required Edgar's to re-ticket merchandise during the course of the trading season. Price increases were implemented well ahead of the Edgars promotional activities. Therefore the perception that price increases were implemented just prior to the promotions, is incorrect and any confusion was not at all intended.
