Closing of account

I went to Edgars to settle my account and close it because i am being ****med and apparently all the years i have had the account there was amounts charged every month which i don't know of nd don't understand. Ok fine then paid every cent i owed and was told account cannot be closed immediately i must come back after 7 working days then 13 December 2020 i went to close it i was told i have amount that i am owing again even after paying everything which will be charged every month. Whats the reason of settlement amount if account cannot be closed? I am stuck with Edgars monthly charges even after i settled the outstanding balance. Edgars have been ******** me for long and i accepted just want to close the account which seems to be a mission impossible. I want nothing to do with Edgars i just want to close the account but i was told i cannot even after i settled the outstanding amount.
