closed account not closed

in 2014 i went to close my edgars account, this was done at clearwater mall. i checked my credit report and it is now stated i have an outstanding amount of around R604 on a revolving credit. i dont understand what closing an account means to edgrars when you go in and pay it off and close it, i don't shop at Edgars, i dont want the account and if it's not removed from my records im taking legal action.
