Close my account please!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the 30th of December 2020, i paid off my Edgars account at Mall of Africa, R1980, at 11.32.33am. I called *** week of the 4th of January 2021 to close my account and i was told it would take about 30days. Today the 25th of February, i have not received a cancellation of account notice, on the credit score dashboard it still shows that i owe Edgars R2697. What kind of clownery is this. I no longer want this account and i want it closed with immediate effect.
