Close my account Edgars

I paid my account in full at the store, was told to wait 2 days for payment to reflect on their side and then I phoned customer line to close my account. I was told my account is R0.00 and was asked a series of questions on why I want to close my account. Eventually the lady told me it's been done and thanked me and I was on my way. Few months later I found my account is not closed and there are now accumulated amounts I owe them because of fees. With this I sent email after email just to get 2 replies, 1 an automated reply and the 2nd a reply in short telling me I must pay my account. What the hell man I'm not paying anything and this nonsense makes my record bad. I recently found out a lot of people has the same issue. Edgars died when they went out of business now the new owners wanna leach old customers.
