Charging me for having a positive balance??

I have been a customer for over 25 years, and have ALWAYS maintained a positive balance. In other words, left money on my account. I have now become aware that RCS..the sharks that now run the credit for Edgars, have been charging me an amount every month just because I have lent them MY MONEY? Perhaps I should be charging them a loan fee for using MY money. They can get stuffed. I asked for them to close my account, I never want to shop at Edgars ever again. But weeks later, they are still making the cancellation onerous and a hassle and are still charging me. Goodbye Edgars, and get stuffed RCS.
