Charged for a closed account

I have settled my account over a month ago and request they close it , till today it's still not closed.

I called on the 20 April and spoke to Nosipho at 11:13 and was advised I will receive confirmation of closure within 48 hours but still nothing.

I have sent 2 emails and called twice to follow up still nothing, now I have just received a statement saying I owe Edgars.

What do I have to do to have this account closed. Do I have run a 12km marathon or what , cos now I no longer know.
