My daughter bought a shirt from Edgars at the Glen on the 19 December 2015, and on the 20 December 2015 we went to get a bigger size and they did not have the same item, so she looked around for a replacement and after looking around she did not like anything and she went to the cashier to have the item returned for a refund. The cashier said that she must refer to the board with refund policy and that they can only give her a gift voucher. She did not want a voucher as she needed to get a top. She was in possession of the tag and till slip and we called the Manager to tell her that we were not happy with the gift card as she needed the refund. The Gift card meant that we will have to come back to buy from them and there was nothing that my daughter fancied. The manageress Itumeleng said that is our policy and she gave my husband the item with the slip and said go to the shop you bought the shirt from, maybe they will be able to help you. My husband said but as per the consumer Protection Act, we are entitled to a refund if we have the proof of purchase and she said we cannot give you a refund. He said I will report the matter to the NCR and she said to her colleague, let him go
