Cannot close edgars account

I settled my Edgars account 2 months ago and closed it in store at Centurion Mall, Pretoria. Following that Edgars just went on and added admin costs to my account instead of closing it. After numerous times they phoned me to pay outstanding costs they send me an sms on a Sunday that I am now 2 months behind in payments and should phone immediately. I bought nothing! These are all sorts of hiden costs whilst my account should be closed! I phoned the number on the sms as soon as I got it only to get a recording that I have phoned outside their office hours. I have phoned numerous numbers inside of office hours only to year that the lines are congested. I now owe R269.31 after buying absolutely nothing. I am unemployed. I simply cannot pay them to entertain their attempt not to declare bankruptcy.
