Birthday Voucher ****
I recently received a birthday voucher of R75 via SMS. It did not have any terms and conditions, nor did it mention that there were any terms and conditions for the voucher. It just mentioned that I could use it at the edgars store. When I tried to make a purchase using the voucher, the teller said that it cannot be used for sale items.
Why give out these vouchers if you intend to make fools of people. Imagine how embarrasing it is to be at the till point on your actual birthday and they dont accept your birthday voucher. I've search hellopeter and another customer also mentioned this in 2016 and Edgars response was that they would contact marketing to do something about it. But now in 2018, nothing has changed. Even the Edgars Website doesn't mention any terms and conditions (see below). This is a **** to get people at the till points when they are forced to take the item without the voucher.
"The voucher is valid for the month of your birthday. When you find something you want, simply show your SMS at the till to redeem your voucher. If you happen to delete it by mistake, please let us know and we will send you another one the following month."
