Birthday gift Exhange policy
Good day<br> <br> I was very disappointed with the service I received from Edgars, Alberton, over the weekend.<br> <br> My daughter received clothing bought from Edgars for her birthday.<br> All I wanted to do is exchange it for a bigger size, not return it and get the money back, exchange it.<br> All the tags were still attached. It should have been a simple exchange.<br> <br> I was told that due to policies changing they no longer exchange items if you don't have a slip even though the tags are attached. The ladies that assisted me had no intention of even trying to accommodate me.<br> <br> This to me is unacceptable. One does not always want to ask for a slip if it's a birthday gift and what if the person who bought the birthday gift no longer has the slip??<br> <br> How come other clothing stores like Truworths, Woolworths, Mr Price etc. exchange items without a slip as long as the tags are on and Edgars can't?<br> <br> I will most definitely be warning family and friends not to purchase any birthday gifts from Edgars in future.<br> <br> I am very disappointed and will not be supporting Edgars anymore.<br> <br> Regards<br> Lindy Smit<br> ***<br>

And we can only refund or exchange provided that there is a proof of purchase, the item is in its original condition and it is still within 30 days. Please be advised we understand that there are items that have a manufactures default or items purchased as gift, but we require a receipt so we may assist you. The proof of purchase is used for auditing purposes, to verify the price that was charged and also to prove that the item was purchased at our stores.
