Bad service-Undermining employees and clients
Today I went to Edgars woodlands with my collegue to exchange her skirt as it had a stiching problem& it was tearing as she walked& showing her butt. She had bought it 2days ago& was wearing it for the 1st time. We were assisted by Baby Mtshweni whom I felt she did her utmost best to assist us under the circumstances, she said we can change in the room close to the tills so she can process the exchange& if the skirt doesn't fit we'll go to the fitting room to try other clothes& which she'll be decent wearing the other. The store manager- Milandre Beckett, came& asked what's going on& started shouting at us because we changed in the set aside room which was closer to customer service area& wasn't allowed& threatened her employee's job in front of us and the store's auditor. She didn't even let her teller explain.

I am confused as to why she had to shout her employee in front of us& her auditor& threaten her job. Was it necessary to shout at us? Must client service now be compromised because of auditors. The service from the store manager was appalling to say the least& I felt we were treated like Edcon employees& not a client.

We have referred this matter to the Regional Manager for intervention as it could have been handled in a different light. It is our daily mandate to render outstanding service to customers.
