BAD SERVICE EDGARS WONDERPARK

I would like to formerly lay a complain towards the Edgars store. Located at Wonderpark Mall (Pretoria).

On the 13th of April 2025, I purchase a black handbag from them. After using a twice since the day it was purchased. Discoloration started showing on the bag.

I decided to take it back on the 17th of May 2025 to the exact same store it was purchased at.

Upon entering the store and advising the staff why the bag was returned I was met with staff who was not very helpful at all and advised me that I needed to speak to the Manager.

I requested to speak to the Manager but for some strange reason the Manager suddenly was not available to assist me, even though I saw the manager when I entered the store.

I ask the cashier just to assist me with the refund and she blatantly refuses to do so. Telling me that I can leave my bag and write my name and number on the back of the slip and leave it there, they will contact me back with assistance.

I had no choice but to contact the Edgars head office where I spoke to Sibongile and she also gave me the same story “they will get back to me”

Since no one even bother to contact me back from that store or the head office for that matter I have no choice but to lay this complaint against the store.

What they are doing is not right, denying to assist me because of their blatant laziness to assist a customer. This could have been easily avoided if they just did their job and refunded me as requested or exchange the bag.

I have been purchasing my handbags at Edgars for years and never has this happened to ever.

I would like to have some feedback on the matter, I mean Edgars handbags are not cheap and as a customer I feel like this is not acceptable.
