BAD JUDGEMENT BY Edgars MANAGER Oudshoorn

I was absolutely appalled when I called a very dear friend of over 30 years who is known for her impeccable character.She went to Edgars Oudtshoorn to buy clothing. She asked the cashier the price of the men's underwear as the price had been scratched out. They gave her the price she asked if there was discount was told no, she shrugged in acceptance. After paying, she picked up her package and noticed the cashier had not put the underwear in the bag. She picked it up on the counter and put it in. At the door the alarm went off. The security then checked her slip and found the underwear was not on the slip. She had assumed they rang it up and just forgot to put it in the bag. The manager + security would not listen to her explanation of a misunderstanding but called the police. She was bundled into a police van and charged with theft. She did not go into a change room and hide it in her bag. She did it in full view of anyone around. This is very poor judgement by the manager not to be able to judge a misunderstanding from theft. A lawyer offered his services free of charge and the whole town ral**** around her. She's traumatised! I Will never set foot into an Edgars Store Ever
