Bad credit, after settling 2yrs ago

I owed a balance to edgars, and couldn't settle immediately. on 22 June 2013, I got a sms from MBD that offered me a settlement discount, I immediately settled that same day, and went into one of the Edgars branches to have this updated on their systems. After 2 years, the same amount still negatively reflects on my ITC report, after I specifically spoke to the call centre of Edgars. They assured me, my account will be settled, and I would receive a settlement letter. Nothing happened eversince. I am granted a poor credit score rating, because of this. I still have the receipts to prove that I settled the amount provided to settle. Today I called Edgars' call centre, the agent said I should wait a while, after 10min I dropped the phone, as this too costs me money, and frustrated me, as she did not even bother to follow up. Very poor service from both Edgars and MBD.
