Asssistant at till can't check balance on gift card.

I went to your Baywest Mall store in Port Elizabeth this afternoon to get me some new clothes.

I went to the till first to check the remaining balance on my gift card to get clothes to the value of what is left on the gift card. The assistant told me that she can't check the balance. I need to make a purchase first and come back to her. So I went to pick a few items to the value of R1000.

When I returned to her, she told me that her till is closed now. I was so disgusted that I left the items on the counter and walked out of the store.

What I don't get is that Edcon / Edgars is on the brink of colapse. The store had barely any customers in it and that is the kind of service your employees give?

You might as well just close your stores permanently!!!
