Aldo shoe tore in one day

I bought Aldo shoes on 22 September for R 499.00. I wore the shoe for one day and the shoe tore. I returned it to the Edgars Loch Logan store on Friday, 25 September. The store would not take the shoe back and told me it wasn't company policy and that the least they could do is have the shoe repaired for me. Now i would like to k ow if it is Aldo's policy to position their brand as quality, stylish, and versatile, yet make and sell product that tear and one day? I do not want a repaired shoe, if i did, i would've gave the shoe to the repair guy around the corner. I want my money, and want nothing to do with Edgars and Aldo. I am also writing this report on the Aldo facebook page so they see how loyal Edgars is with their brand.
