Account Closed - No Notice - with positive balance
Talk about finding out the hard way that your account has been closed without notification - it even has a small positive balance.

To put it into perspective, yes, my account was behind. With a payment plan enforced which included interest payments, I settled all that was owing, in fact I rounded up my last payment the other week and was left with a positive balance of a few Rand. I even received an e-mail that I have (had?) 15,151 Thank U Points so I decided to go ahead and make a purchase and use up the points at Fourways Mall on 09 September.

When it came to pay, I was told that the account is closed and I can wait 2 YEARS to apply for another one. Oh and if you want your positive balance paid back you have to produce your ID book, letter from the bank proving Bank account details and so the story went. So, Edgars has closed my account and are going to make it as difficult as they can for me to even get my refund - I wonder how many other consumers out there have had the same treatment?

An unsuccessful call with Client Services was a waste of time, I advised the Agent that I wanted a call from Management by the close of business, yesterday. I have not heard anything since!!
