A 36D is a 36D is a 36D...or is it?

On Saturday the 13th of June I went to Edgars in Westwood to replenish my much diminished supply of underwear. I don't have the leisure to be able to try on each and every item, but I would assume that certain sizing, such as bras would at least be the same between items within a single brand, let alone within items in the store. I purchased several twin sets of bras, 2 sets from Free2BU, one set of Shelley and another set that I liked. Both of the Free2BU sets are marked 36D. When I tried them on at home i realised there was something very wrong with the sizing. One of the sets did not fit AT ALL! I laid them out together, and one set is more than 10cm different in size, with the cups being smaller too!
