6 month interest free no longer

As you stroll through an Edgars store, there are myriad signs stating that you are able to apply for a 6 month interest free account and receive R1000 rand in shopping vouchers free. To cut a long story short, Edgards approved my account which I had app**** for (which was 6 months) , or so I thought because when I made a purchase and it came time to pay my account, it showed that I owed interest. This obviously could not be possible on an interest free account. I called Edgards and spoke to one of the managers, they stated that they no longer offer 6 month interest free accounts and that if I wish to resolve the matter, I should close my account and no longer remain a customer. To all you unsuspecting customers out there who have received the same treatment and were lured into opening an account under false pretenses, I hope you complain too. To those who have not yet opened an account and which to, beware the advertising boards, they are misleading and actually a complete lie. I also have photographic evidence of the false advertising and a recording of an employee (who will remain unnamed) stating that she too agrees that this is completely misleading and incorrect.<br> <br>
