Doesn't last, Does not match the notes advertised & Lotion came completely UNSCENTED.

I was really excited to try Eden Perfumes after all the glowing reviews online. I ordered Caramella Drip & Whipped along with the matching lotion from the D’Luxe Collection about 3 weeks ago. Total was around R998.

Both perfumes smelled almost identical, with a strong mint-forward, sweet alcohol-like opening. None of the advertised notes (vanilla, caramel, fruity marshmallow) came through at all, despite it being advertised as "luscious richness of caramel", "smooth vanilla", "luscious heart of marshmallow" & "strawberry swirls with creamy coconut". After sharing my experience, I found several others had the same issue. They do not smell at all like notes. Like at all. Not even similar.

For Extrait de Parfums, the performance was very poor - almost no projection, and the scent disappears in under 2 hours. Even on clothes, you could faintly smell it but not enough for other to pick up on unless they're sniffing the fabric.

The lotion was completely unscented. I even asked a second opinion from someone else to confirm, and they agreed - no fragrance at all, despite it being advertised as scented to match and enhance the perfumes.

On the positive side, delivery was quick and the packaging was beautiful. However, the customer service response left me very disappointed. I sent a polite email explaining my concerns, but received a generic copy-paste reply pointing me to the refund policy. No acknowledgement of the issues raised, and simply said no return on lotion, even though it arrived unscented.

I really wanted to like these products. I wore them consecutively, tested them with my own lotions and oils, wore them on their own, and even had someone else test them - but the results were the same. Considering how much I spent, I refuse to waste them, but they simply don’t perform as promised.

This isn’t just a case of “not liking the scent” - it’s a clear quality issue. The lack of accountability and the generic response has put me off completely.

My advice: buy testers first, and only purchase small quantities if you genuinely like the scent to avoid disappointment.
