Thanks for nothing Edcon or rather thanks for destroying my life.

I loyally worked 3 for Edgars Mall of Africa until I decided that I should take a leap of faith and resign from my job, and start looking something that would be afford me the opportunity to develop myself into someone valuable to the company the way I had hoped when I apply for an entry level sale associate job before I found myself stuck with no growth opportunities for 3 years in a dead end part time job giving my all to a company of self servicing elitists.

5 months ago I served my resignation after I reported a case of Prejudice against a senior employee for the cellphone department to The Store manage Juby tentant and 3 other senior departmental managers and no one did a thing about my experience....

I reported the matter to headoffice two month ago and they **** to me saying they would investigate, until this very day, 5 and 2 months later (respectively) I have heard nothing from the Edcon head office or Edgar Mall of Africa themselves.

To make matters worse on a monthly basis Edcon deducted monies they claimed as PPT saving from my monthly salaries and promised to pay those money to me when I left the company. To this very day three months after I resigned from Edcon using the proper notice period only R300 has be paid to me two months ago. I went to Mall of Africa to logde a pay query but I don't think the manage Mothibedi even bother himself after I had left because two months after my visit I'm still unpaid.

I'm Financially stranded, I have failed to providea decent living daughter for three full months and obviously the month of October will be no different because I'm still not paid my outstanding PPT savings & 7 leave days monies have now used up all four months worth supplies I had calculated & prepared before my timely resignation.

As a result as a of nonpayment my legal aid, life and funeral policies have lasped due to me defaulting on my monthly payments as per our agreements.

I have also incurred a lot of unnecessary debt and interest on my personal accounts also due to nonpayment. Even Edgars' own Accounts department call me even now and again threatening to tarnish my credit record for nonpayment too. While I have also have interests added on to my Edgar's account (which I have no intentions of paying).

I would love to know if it was a mistake to work for Edcon or if it was a sin to resign from my Edgar's job.

I have been left depressed and suicidal since I resign from Edcon. And I take my life because of the outcome of your thing trust me to give you all the credit you deserve in my suicide note.
