Swindling and Pathetic Edcon
Posted 7 Aug 2018:My mom of 81yrs Edcon has been deducing R97,50 *******ly every month since she opened her account few years ago. This money goes towards a hospital plan she was told she is too old to belong to when she opened up the account. Respondse 8 Aug 2018 : Please note that the query has been referred to financial services management to assist in regards to the Hospital Plan that was enrolled on your mum's account. We will then provide final feedback regarding the requested reversals as the policy has been cancelled on the 7/6/18. Reference: ********** 0318/GO Update 17/1/2019: No response or feedback. Emails send from 4/8/2018 to current no response except for the standard response same as in message above. It has been escalated to management. That is where it ends. Management deems themselves too important to come back to me. In the mean time my mom is being hounded by BBD Debt collectors to whom she has been explaining the situation in detail every day a couple of times a day. It has become harassment and causing so much frustration. When is this matter now going to be laid to rest? NOTE no payment will be made until Edcon has credited money back from day 1 for hospital plan including interest charged equivalent rate as she has been charged. All debt collection call fees written off and a proper response has been received. We are prepared to meet you in court should you issue a judgement. We also require a letter of apology. And compensation for her doctor bills and the EEG done due to stress
