Staff ***** on a customer and to the company of Edcon.

On the 21/12/2016 I arrived at the Edgars Active West street store to purchase a Cell phone, I chose the that I liked and which was perfect for me. I was assist by a lady who l later found out her was Judell. I was asked to join the customer line up until it was my turn to make a payment. when I got to the till to make a payment with my Bank card she then told me that the speed point was no longer working, but that was strange to because customer in front of me paid using their bank cards. I then rep**** saying that its now the festive season and the Bank ATM are full I rather go to another store. She then instructed me to go across the road to Bargin Basket and there's a Capital ATM that I can draw out the money to make a payment for my cellphone. I did as I was instructed by Judell. On arrival I handed her the money which was R2600 in cash the price of the Cell phone was R2599. As I handed the money to her she gave me a form to fill in my details for my Cellphone purchase. I was later given a pink form without a purchase receipt and I asked the cashier Judell for my till slip as she further stated that slip didn't print and I should come on another. After my holidays I went to the store to get my proof of purchase, when arriving at the store Judell was not at work. I was assisted by a Manager on duty named Mzwandile. I explained to what happened on the day of my purchase. He asked me what date did I come to the store and purchased, I handed him the paper with information of my cellphone handset purchased as well as my address that I was given by Judell on the day. He then asked me to wait as he assisted in finding my purchase slip. He returned telling me that there was no cash payments made for the cellphone that I was given and I thought I had purchased or new I did. he further checked if Judell had banked over by the R2599 on the day that I had paid on the day and he returned saying she balanced and was not over. We both found this strange as could see that look on his face. I explained further that I had been a cashier as well Woolworths over the years and was strange. He ask me to come through on the Monday when Judell and the manager on duty Katrina was available. he assured me that he will investigate further as well. I arrived on Monday as instructed and he took me to Katrina the manager and I had to explain myself on what had happened on the day of my Purchase. I did and she said she would assist. I explained telling that I suspected something was going on and she needs to investigate, she didn't look surprized or rather her answering me. She further credited the cellphone purchase that I had made in December 21 2016 and then issued me a new purchase slip for the 12th of January 2017. She didn't even apologise for my troubles and time wasted coming up and down to the store. I approached the manager Mzwandile as he had asked me to do so after I was assist by Katrina. He further explained that he needs to make a copy of my slip as he wanted to log a case of ***** and misconduct on the staff Judell and manager Katrina if this was not handled and reported to head office. I was later contacted by a Manager that was unfairly dismissed by accusations that Katrina, Judell and another black lady Zanele asking about what had transpired and I explained further as he too explained that they had been committing and had been robbing customers on daily basis where he had caught them and sent cases to head office and no cases were ever opened and charged on the staff. he further explained that he is fighting for his Job at CCMA as he was accused of misconduct of giving a discount to a friend and this was not the case it was a case he looked at customer service was key and where they as staff had given wrong pricing to the customer. However Katrina, Judell and Zanele wrote statements saying he honourned discount to a friend leading to his dismissal. He further states that Katrina the store Manager didn't report the matter she further tried covering up the loss of the cellphone that was now short by transferring it out repairs and this was done 3days before their stock take and this was wrong of her as she was committing ***** and trying to balance her stock for stock take. I then was totally shocked and with all this and totally disgusted at Edcon and question their integrity of the people who investigate the cases. I am disgusted that these staff continue to work and de***** a company. I for one as a customer was never contacted or even asked to submit my statement or called even. This honestly says a lot about the senior management of Edgars Active. I was even shown a CCTV recording of Judell and few staff at Till points working together and *****ing money. Judell was the one who put money in her pockets and this was reported and they still continue to work for Edcon. When does this stop. We as customers are no longer safe at this Edgars Active West Street Store. One can say this only happens on movies not in real life. But I am disgusted and feel it for the Honest staff of the store. I hope that these ******* are taken to task for the service I received. I for one will never enter or purchase at that store.
