**** calls?

After applying for an Edgars account , I received a call from ********** , a woman claiming to be calling from Edcon with regards my recent application. She then asked me several personal questions including my ID number and address etc. Without thinking I gave this to her as it appeared a legit call from Edcon. Since then I have not heard anything re my application and when I called ********** regarding my application (number as per your website) I was told they dont kniow this number and they never ask for ID; so I am assuming this is a **** call!!! Please notify the police immediately as how many are they ********???? Very worried!!
