retrenchment claim

I claimed app at Edgars Greenacres after I was retrenched in Feb by my ex employer. my claim was approved and based on their criteria it happened that I had a refund of R1200+ that was due to me after the claim was approved. I tried to claim the refund that was due to me several times but they kept on saying my ID copy wasn't clear. So the Credit manageress at Edgars Greenacres suggested that I purchase with that amount. We called their head office before we proceed with the purchase and it was approved. Few months later I received calls letters and sms's that are claiming that I owe Edgars. I tried to explain to them but last month again I received a letter from their lawyers that I'm owing Edcon. Threatening me that they will make every effort to get back all the monies that I owe Edcon. I don't have an account with Edgars I took their account back to by claiming the ACCOUNT PROTECTION PLAN....
