Poor Quality Mechandise

Recently I was in need of some new socks for work, so I made use of a voucher to get some socks form Edgars, the 5 pair. Can't recall the exact price, but I think it was below R100. I wore each pair of socks twice, before my big toe stuck its head out at the front. Thus I had 10 days of socks. Frustrated I decided to go to the fley market at ERM, and pruchased some socks there from an indian lady with a sock shop. It has now been 3 months, and still no holes. Wat bothers me even more is that I got these socks at R60 for 5 pairs, cheaper than Edgars Socks? I have also purchased 2 pairs of Guess Jeans from Edgars, and one from the fley market, funny that the fley market (*******s) and out of the 3 pairs, the one Guess jeans belt lid teared out of the jean, and the other one's zip gave in. The fley market jean is still going strong.

I could take it back, but taking anything back to Edgars are like going to court for something you did not do. The staff look at the item and then try and confince you that it is your fault and that you did something wrong. Then they call someone else to confirm this, while making you and a lot of other customers wait in the queue. IF eventually they decide that they will take it back it looks as if they want to say " I know you damaged this on purpose and I'm doing you a favour to take it back. This is over and above their normal "I'm doing you a favour to assist you".

Edcon, maybe buying your stuff from the fley market will ensure that customers get the quality they pay for, because we are sure as hell not getting the service we pay for.
