Pathetic service pertaining to Limit Increase and "Customer Service"

During a recent purchase, I was offered a credit limit increase at the counter though I didn't even ask for it. I asked the cashier if I needed to fill out any paperwork or need to do any admin to which she rep**** no - just to answer 3 questions related to my income. I did so and to my surprise she tells me to bring my 3 months bank statements or payslips and come back. A bit irritated, I asked if I could email instead to which she said yes - e-mail to ***. I sent through my documents on the 21/07/2019 ie. my 3 months statements that was available at that time (April, May and June). I receive a call this morning (05/08/2019), 14 days later, to which the consultant (Claudia I believe) spends a while on the phone with me asking me similar questions related to my income. Thereafter she tells me to hold for a few minutes, checks the mail for my statements emailed a while back, and tells me that I didn't include my latest statement (July). I inform her that is wasn't available at that time (14 days ago) but it is obviously available now to which she tells me to send it to *** to complete my limit increase process. I sent it through earlier this afternoon and then get a call from another person who received the latest mail wanting to go through the whole application process again (same questions for the third time) even though I mentioned to him that I had gone through the process already this morning and only needed to mail the outstanding statement. Very annoyed at that point, I informed him that i am not prepared to go through the same process for the third time as it is a waste of my time. I was offered the increase which I didn't need but thought it would be nice to have provided it was an easy process. My 3 million rand homeloan application had an easier process. Edcon, please look into your systems and procedures as it seems garbage to me - one consultant can't continue where another consultant stops. I also had a similar experience of ****py service in store when an Edgars sales consultant called in to customer services trying to re-activate my account card (which was temporarily blocked as some ********* had made a purchase through my account - luckily this was flagged by myself and reversed) and was thrown from pillar to post on the phone - even the store consultant was annoyed with the customer services line and consultant's poor knowledge. This poor customer service might be one of the contributing factors to Edcon Group's current financial crisis.
