No customer

I have a Jet account which was in arrears, I then went to the store to settle my account, I asked what is the balance on my account as would like to settle my account and I paid the balance that they told me and the slip reflected a R0.00 balance, after 3 days when I call the Edcon customer care to close the account they told me I still owe R409, 00 (collection fees) which they promise they will revert back as I had paid my account already. I have been calling them regarding this issue daily as I would like to really close this account because I have paid it off and get a settlement letter from them. They keep telling me stories that someone will work on it and they will call me or email me back but nothing is being done. It feels to me that Econ just do not want to help me with closure of this account, what could be so difficult in doing this, they use call me daily when i was owing them and now i have paid the account and I can't get any help from them.
