***********
I've got an existing account with Jet which I've been paying very well for the past years, my normal monthly instalment use to be five hundred and something rand which I will normally pay R600.00 or more but without any big purchases I made using the account my December instalment went up to R2800.00 which I only paid R1000.00 because there was no way that it could have gone up so high. As off the 7th of January I am getting phone calls from them asking me to pay an outstanding amount of R1800.00 and when I tell them that I feel that my instalment was incorrect calculated in December they all telling me the same thing that they will put the note on the system and the relevant department will get back to me which is not happening I am also contacting them regarding this matter but I have no joy all I'm hearing is that they are putting a note on the system and somebody will contact me and when I am asking for the direct number for the customer queries they give the below numbers which none of them are being answered they just rings & rings ( ********** , ********** /67, ********** /52). The amazing thing is that a day before yesterday afternoon (Monday) I got a call from Edcon's debt collectors about this outstanding amount which is still on query & nobody is giving me the feedback as to how on earth can a person who is on 12 months plan with a balance which is less than R10 000.00 can be required to pay an instalment of R2800.00. When I go to the store yesterday at Waterfall mall in Hillcrest with a hope of resolving this query I had no joy because they phoned the call centre/customer care/ head office and the lady I spoke to told me that there is nothing she can tell me except for ''PUTTING A NOTE ON THE SYSTEM'' and the relevant department will get back to me she said in fact the person who is supposed to phone me is Sandile Mabaso who is the customer queries manager and she can't connect me to that person but she can give me the number ********** which we tried in the store & there was no answer as usual and up to now nobody is answering that number and she also told me that my instalment is been rectified and has gone down to R540.00 which is true because that is what I was required to pay at the end of January and I paid R700.00 but my thing is WHY DID THEY NOT RECTIFY DECEMBER INSTALMENT as I am still expected to pay that balance and my account is handed over which is affecting my credit rating? if my instalment was correctly calculated in December then what has made my instalment to go down again in January? Was I expected to pay for their employees bonuses in December? How can they hand my account over without giving me a feedback as to why was my instalment so high in December? I am so annoyed and should this be not sorted out I will pay off the balance and close my account but I will make sure to expose them of their incompetence.
