Horrible Customer Service

I bought a cellphone for my sister from CNA Pinecrest on the 16st of October 2016. My sister reported to me within two weeks of it purchase it was troubling her by freezing. I suggested she takes it back to the store where I purchased it, she took it back on the 31st of October. A lady by the name of Lungile took it who said it can take up to 21 working days for her to get a call telling her to come and collect it.

21 working days passed there was no phone call from CNA my sister went back to CNA to query what was going on. She told her to wait, when she went for the third time Lungile said the cellphone was returned by Vodacom she sent it to the wrong company apparently they no longer use Vodacom for repairs she did not know (this was not my sister's problem as a customer this was Lungile's negligence which my sister tolerated). Lungile said she is waiting for the right company to collect the cellphone (this was also not a customer's problem that was brought to her attention all she needed was a properly functioning cellphone).

When she went to the store for the again Lungile told her she needs to wait 21 working days to receive a call from her since the cellphone now went for repairs. Christmas week my sister went back again to the store as a normal person who wants to have her cellphone she was attended by Lungile who told her she did not call her so she is not going to help her since she specifically told her to wait for her call (bear in mind this is 21+21 days and more). During festive season she had no cellphone. On the 2nd of January 2017 my sister pleaded with me to intervene. I promised to go to the store the next day.

I was attended by a gentleman (who's name I do not remember) I told him the story he took the invoice and went to the back of the store to check for me. He went for almost an hour and when he came back he was trying to tell me a story but did not have my sister's cellphone bear in mind i have been waiting for almost an hour for him, I told him I was not having it I want to speak to the store manager immediately. He went and called her, the store manager told me it was her first time hearing the story and apologized and promised me by 12:00pm the following day she will make sure action is taken. By 9am the same gentleman called me to tell me if I want a refund it will be gladly given to me or a cellphone of the same value I thanked him. My sister and I went back today to the store and Lungile was there the lady who has costed us transport money to the value of R150 because of her negligence.

I asked her does she know how she has costed us by simply failing to do her job the first time around. She told me that i am going to say that to her neither am I going speak to her like that if the store manager can tolerate my attitude she won't. I went to the store manager to report about how unhappy I was about her staff (Lungile) customer s****s.

Would I recommend someone else to purchase from CNA Pinecrest after how Lungile treated my sister and I, no I wouldn't.
