Ghost account

I have in contact with Edcon for a thousand times with no help, I had an account years back which was apparently handed over for collection but when I contact the debt collectors and Edcon call center they keep telling me that they do not have any of my details on their systems yet it’s reflecting on my credit records. Worst service ever because it seems like no one can help
