False/ ********* advertising?
The one week during June 2015, Edgars and Jet was running an advert, buy one fleece Jacket- get one free. We went to Greenstone Mall and notice in both stores that that they have put a new price sticker over the barcoded price tag with a higher price, so in other words they have \mark- up"the jackets and then mislead customers saying that you get 50 % off if you buy two fleece jackets"

Thank you for taking the time and allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns in store. Kindly note as is common practice in a retail market, with rising fuel costs and inflation, Edgars has had to increase prices of selected merchandise. This required Edgars to re-ticket merchandise during the course of the trading season. Price increases were implemented well ahead of the Edgars promotional activities. Therefore the perception that price increases were implemented just prior to promotions, is incorrect and any confusion created was not at all intended. To the contrary, Edgars saw it as beneficial to customers to be able to offer discounts (for example 'half price' on key items), at a time when they are stretched economically. We will review our pricing process for the future.
