Edcon - Lack of integrity - Cannot close dead clients account
My mother had a Jet clothing and for years. In November 2019 she had a stroke and was hospitalized for 3 months (during that period, i kept paying the account on her behalf). Unfortunatly she passed away on the 30th of March 2020.
As a firstborn daughter with the power of attorney (given when she was still alive) have contacted Edcon Services and informed them of her passing.
Since then until now (3 months later,) they have not contacted me, I have sent countless emails with the documents they requested, all to no-avail. Instead Toyota Financial Services Continues to debut my mothers account. Surely if she is incapacitated (bed ridden) her contract/ insurance should cater for that. Moreover what type of Financial services company sends endless text messages and countless phone calls and harass me, as her child.
I am very disappointed with how little integrity, Edco has and how they are handling their client's affairs. I am Aware that there is a funeral plan attached to this, however I doubt very much if I will get a payout. This is pathetic.
