Edcon **********

So I have a clothing account with Edcon via Edgar's and this account has a protection plan which is supposed to help when am not working. Last year I got very sick during pregnancy and I stopped working, struggling to pay my account i enquire about this protection plan. I was told it only helps those on permanent employment and get retrenched , no one explained this in the beginning but ok I move on. Now I want to stop paying for something that will not help me because even when I go back to work it's mostly on contract bases. They refuse for me to cancel this plan although it will never help me. Why am I forced to pay for something that will never help me? They are telling me I will never benefit from this but I must pay them anyway, isn't that *****?

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We need to advise you further about the Account Protection Plan on your account. Account Protection Plan does not cover retrenchment only as you might think, It also covers your account in case of permanent disability and death of the customer. We hope that you will go through all the T's & C's of the policy.

We are looking forward to being of better service to you in future and trust that the above will be accepted favourably and please don't hesitate to contact us if any further assistance is required.
