Edcon failing to supply paid up letter

I have been requesting my paid up letter for my Edgars account from the Edcon customer services and they keep giving me the runaround.

19 Aug - requested the paid up letter 19 Aug - Edcon response that my ID nr is invalid 20 Aug - I attach a copy of my ID and request letter again 22 Aug - Edcon responds again thai my ID is invalid (ref nr ***/GO) 22 Aug - so clearly there is an issue on their system so I send them my account number 22 Aug - Edcon responds that now my account nr is incorrect 22 Aug - I attach a copy of an old Edgars statement to shlw them that the account nr is not incorrect 24 Aug - Edcon responds again that ID nr is invalid

So after sending them a copy of my ID and a statement per numerous emails, there is clearly a problem on their system that they refuse to acknowledge and sort it out. instead they just waste time.

Thank yoj for your response, but I still havent received the paid up letter as promised.
I keep on receiving response from Edcon to my numerous emails that neither my account number, nor my ID number exist on your system.
This is a problem on Edcon's system and all I can do is supply you with a copy of an old statement.
I am trying to clear my name from debt review and if you can't find my account details on your system to provide me with such a letter, then none of the credot buros will ever clear me.

History of correspondence since the 24th of August:

25 August - ref nr ***/GO - customer relations say query has been escalated.
25 August - from Emmanuel Matodzi, ref nr ***/GO, customer services administrator, promised that paid up letter will be sent within 48 hours. this promised deadline has passed, and I haven't received the letter yet.
26 August - from Jabulule Malgas, Customer Services Administrator, Debt Review department - says they can't find my ID number on system and I should sent account number. This after I hava attached a copy of an old statement to my request. I can't keep sending the same docs again and again and continue to get the same response.
I have lodged a complaint against Edcon with the NCR also.
There is a problem on your system and it will keep me flagged under debt review at the credit buros if i can't provide all paid up letter to my debt councellor.
You are causing me great distress!!
