Edcon charging a service fee despite the account being closed!!!

My account was closed in October 2020 and I was assured that the balance was R0 as Edcon kept charging me a service fee. Recently while applying for vehicle finance my credit history reflects that I owe Edcon R60. 22 and that I have defaulted.

How on earth is this even possible that you charge customers who close their accounts!!
