Disastrous Edcon account system and service

On 19 May my mother did some purchase at Atterbury Jet stores with her additional card on my account and after she made a payment of R400 and complete the transaction the system showed the closing credit for today is R253.05. Today my father went to Menlyn Jet stores to credit the two tops my mother bought yesterday and exchange it for 2 sweater pants but the system suddenly showed that after the two tops were credited the closing balance is -R635.02. So that is a difference of R888.07. So my father had to stand their in embarrassment because the faulty system figures block the transaction to go through. I was highly upset about this situation as this was not the first incident of Edcon account and system problems. When I called customer services to complain about this problem the consultant provide me with the accounts division’s telephone number in Johannesburg and when I called them I experienced that following: The first consultant (gatholelo?) asked me my name, ID No., physical address, telephone number. After I gave her all these details she asked me if I am really me and that made me more upset so I interrupted her and told her she has all my details now in front of her and asked her if she really works at Edcon so she dropped the phone in my ear. That was 14:10 after I spent 11 minutes with her. I called at 14:30 in again and was very irritated to give all my details once again for the third time but although I was upset the second consultant (Ntobile) was professional, nice and calm but couldn’t help me so she transferred my call to the manager. At 16:40 this manager (Cheriene) answered the call and already had an attitude and rabbled her name fast and unclear. When I asked her to talk slower as I as Afrikaner can’t follow what she is saying she tried to provoke me by then speak in a slow motion voice. When I ask her to stop being sarcastic she told me to calm down as nobody will help me if I don’t calm down. Eventually she also couldn’t explain to me why there is such different available credit figures showing on there system that changes from R235.05 to -R635.02 in one day without any transactions in between. As a matter of fact when I call in to the automated system it tells me my balance is R3285.96, my payment due is R612.80 and my credit available for today is R1032.01. At the same time the credit available as given by Ntobile and Cheriene according to their system screen is R52. And then just before that the system at Menlyn Jet stores and as printed on the till slip the closing credit available is -R635.02. So I want to ask what is going on at Edcon. Their account system is a total disaster, their personnel can’t figure out what’s going on on the system, can’t help you and got no clue how to handle customer complaints. How can any person stay calm with such a disastrous service.
