Cellphone insurance Edcon

Hello Peter.

I took out a cellphone insurance with CNA/Edcon and I think they are partnered with Hollard Insurance. Now note that I did not purchase this handset in non of the edcon stores, but they accepted nonetheless to insure it with them. And I recently lost my phone and and when I claim it they give me an Edcon gift card with the value of the insured amount minus the excess. Thing is I did not buy this phone in edcon and to top it off they don't have this cellphone in edcon, now that leaves me very frustrated because it's like I insured for a phone and now they giving me a gift card to spend on anything from CNA Easter eggs to a book on how to break up with your girlfriend before Xmas, which it's all savvy and all but the thing is I insured a high end phone so I could get a high end phone in case the former is lost, damaged or ******. Now I don't know what kind of logic is that. Why can't they jus give me the money so I can go buy a phone where they have it for the same price I insured it for. I mean, c'mon now this is just plain silly. I NEED THE MONEY NOT SOME STUPID GIFT CARD
