Can we have our provident funds

I left the company in August and today someone sent an email from corporate mail stating we will only get our monies on the 31st of January 2021. What are we eating meantime? How do we take our kids to school next year? They know there are no jobs now due to Covid-19 and the least they can do is to release our provident funds. Or is it too much to ask?
