Unfair business practice

ECU Auto Boksburg is practicing unfair business On 16 May 2024, I took my car to ECU Auto Boksburg due to a problem with the ECU (the car wouldn't start). The supervisor quoted me R7,700 (R5,500 for a new computer box and R2,200 for programming).

Despite paying the full amount, the ECU they provided was non-functional. I returned it, and they promised to investigate. However, weeks passed without any updates or communication. I repeatedly called for progress, only to be given the same reassurances. It's now over a month, and my car remains unfixed.

When I attempted to retrieve my car with a tow truck to seek help elsewhere, the supervisor demanded an additional R6,900 to release my car, despite its non-functional state. I left to avoid an altercation. This company needs to be shut down .
