I am very disappointed in the way ECSA operate. Actually it is a disgrace that this organisation is a representation of the engineering community in South-Africa. I need my candidate registration number in order to apply for a certain job. After numerous emails, and even attaching a letter to my application form to explain my situation it is clear that ECSA could not care less about me or my future. The admin part took about 1 month to get looked at. Then it was presented to the committee after which they rejected it due to some fees outstanding. Fair enough, I made the payment immediately. Now all they said must happen is the chair person must sign it off. He did not pitch up to do it for two weeks now and my deadline for the job is coming up. The fact that the process takes long is one thing and that I can handle, but the attitude of every person working there is a disgrace. If you call you are lucky to get through to talk to someone, and if you do get through the attitude is beyond disappointing or they make you promises that they NEVER deliver on. They pride themselves on \The engineering council of SA - where we strive for ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE". What a joke."""
